Ingredients

  • Refined Flour- 3 tablespoon
  • Cocoa powder- 1 teaspoon
  • Powdered Sugar- 1 ½ tablespoon
  • Baking Powder- 2 pinches
  • A pinch of baking soda
  • Condensed milk or fresh cream- 1 tablespoon
  • Milk- 2 tablespoons
  • Butter or oil- 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar
  • Vanilla extract

Instructions

Method to prepare Mug Cake

Step 1: Take a microwave-safe mug and add all the dry ingredients to it. Add 3 tablespoons of flour, a tablespoon of cocoa powder, 1 ½ tablespoon of powdered sugar, two pinches of baking powder, and a pinch of baking soda. Mix all of them properly with the help of a fork.

Step 2: Then add a tablespoon of condensed milk, a tablespoon of butter, a few drops of vinegar, and one or two drops of vanilla essence.

Step 3: Mix the ingredients properly to avoid lumps. You can add milk if the batter seems too thick. Make it a fine and smooth mixture to have a nice fluffy cake. It should look similar to a cake batter.

Note: Don’t add a lot of milk at the beginning; it will create lumps that will destroy your mug cake.

Step 4: Let it rest for a minute or two. After that, give it another mix. Mix it properly till the mixture gets a good smooth and fluffy in texture. To have a good sponge cake, you have to invest your effort in it.

Step 5: When the mixture gets a luscious texture, put the mug into the microwave oven at the highest setting for one or two minutes. It may also take longer than usual. It totally depends on your microwave. To avoid any kind of mistake, start with 40 seconds. If it is still not done, keep it in for another 20 seconds.

Step 6: Check the cake by piercing a toothpick in the cake. If it’s moist, then cook it for another 20 seconds. Once it is ready, take it out and let it cool down. Your cake is ready to be served.

Try different flavors

Repeat the same steps for the vanilla version of this cake; just exclude cocoa powder from the list. Decorate the cake as per choice. You can decorate it with ice creams, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, nuts, or even chocolate candies.

Tips

  • If you don’t have condensed milk, you can easily use cream instead.
  • You can also add Choco chips to give a crunchier texture.
  • You can also add a cube of chocolate inside it to enjoy a bar of molten chocolate when you dig in.

I hope you like the recipe and enjoy it with your friends and family. We should try something new every time to keep ourselves updated and trendy. Surprise your loved ones with an absolutely new recipe and create a good impression among them. Avoid going out of your houses instead, stay home and enjoy new dishes every evening with your best shows and best buddies, and last but not least, stay home and enjoy mug cake.
