Step 1: Let us start by making the pizza stuffing that would be required for filling the Pizza Cutlet. Start with mixing half onion, half capsicum, two tbsp of the sweet corn, five olives, and five jalapenos in a small bowl.
Note: The onion, capsicum, olives, and jalapeno should be finely chopped.
Step 2: Add one-fourth cup of pizza sauce to the mixture of onions, capsicums, sweet corn, olives, and jalapeno from step one.
Step 3: Now add a half cup of grated cheese, one-fourth tsp of mixed herbs, and one-fourth tsp of chili flakes to it.
Step 4: Mix each and every ingredient well. Hence, your pizza stuffing is ready.
Pizza Cutlet covering preparation:
Step 1: Now we will start with the making of the main component for the entire recipe, Pizza Cutlet. Start with mixing three potatoes, half tsp of mixed herbs, half tsp of chili flakes, and half tsp of salt in a large bowl.
Note: Always take a large bowl. It is so because there are a lot of ingredients to be mixed, so for obtaining a well-proportioned mixture, a suitable space or area for mixing should be present, and hence a big bowl does the work.
Step 2: Add 2 tbsp of cornflour to the above mixture. Mix the cornflour well with the mixture. The resultant mixture will form into a dough.
Note: The advantage of using cornflour is that it possesses the property of absorbing moisture. So you don’t have to worry about the dough’s structure and texture because corn flour is here to provide you with a properly formed dough.
Step 3: If you want to form a softer dough then add more cornflour to the dough.
Note: This step is not a required one. It depends on the individual’s desire and preference. If you wish to make it softer, then you can put more cornflour but it is not mandatory.
Step 4: Grease your hand with oil and pinch a ball sized mixture from the dough.
Note: The hand should be greased well. If mistakenly you forget to grease your hand and pinch out the ball-sized mixture, that way everything will stick to your hand. So be very careful when doing the fourth step.
Step 5: Flatten the ball-sized mixture slightly and stuff it with 2 tbsp of the already prepared pizza stuffing.
Step 6: Seal tight the stuffed mixture and shape the mixture into a round ball shape.
Step 7: Flatten it in a cutlet shape. After shaping it, for the time being, keep it aside.
Note: You can give the stuffed mixture any shape of your desire.
Step 1: Now we will prepare the slurry. Start with taking two tbsp of cornflour, two tbsp of maida, and one-fourth tsp of pepper powder, and one-fourth of tsp salt in a small bowl.
Step 2: Form a small lump-free batter by adding a half cup of water to the slurry.
Note: The batter should be absolutely lump-free.
Frying the PIzza cutlet:
Step 1: Now dip the already formed cutlets into the cornflour slurry. Meanwhile, put some oil in a pan and start heating it on medium flame.
Step 2: Coat the cover of the cutlet with breadcrumbs. Fry it immediately after coating it or you can freeze and prepare it for a time-span of one month.
Note: You can even make your own breadcrumbs at home. Just take 4 pieces of bread, half a tablespoon of salt, half a tablespoon of black pepper powder, and a tablespoon of mixed herbs. Then just blend it in a mixer. Your bread crumbs are ready.
Step 3: Check if the oil is ready or not. If it is, then shallow fry the cutlet in hot oil carefully.
Note: Going for shallow fry is not mandatory. You can also go for pan fry or deep fry. It’s completely up to your preference.
Step 4: While frying, continuously flip it over so that both the sides of the cutlet get equally fried. Fry it until it turns golden brown in color.
Step 5: Pizza Cutlet is ready to be served!
